John P. Yount -- in case this is ever removed -- he was a member of the 3rd US Cavalry - Co F a private and was born in Putnam County, Indiana. He was awarded the Medal of Honor (Whestone Mountains, AZ - gallantry in action with Indians 5 May 1871) - medal issued 13 Nov 1871.
